Battleborn is finally here, and invites you to choose one of 25 badass heroes to do battle in single-player, co-op, or competitive multiplayer modes. Battleborn features a unique story mode that feels very much like something out of the Borderlands universe. You’ll progress, alone or with friends (via local split-screen multiplayer or online), through a multi-chapter story that plays out like a twisted Saturday morning cartoon; the signature Gearbox humor and charm is here in full effect. If you prefer a more competitive experience, you can hop online and face off with other players in three different multiplayer modes: Capture, Meltdown, and Incursion. All three multiplayer modes pit you and 4 others against another team of 5. If you’re a huge fan of MOBAs and looking for a familiar experience, Incurision is the mode for you, whereas Capture will cater more to the arena shooter enthusiasts. Meltdown is a bit of a hybrid between the two.
Also available today is Battleborn Tap , a free-to-play mobile game that lets you take control of all 25 heroes from Battleborn as they fight through waves of enemies. By downloading the game and linking it to your SHiFT account, you can unlock an exclusive gold Orendi skin to use in Battleborn .
