Crackdown 3 Development Is Apparently Almost Done

Crackdown 3 , an often delayed sandbox game that was once poised to show off the Xbox One’s capabilities, is approaching completion, according to the lead developer Sumo Digital. This was stated in an interview given by Paul Porter, the Managing Director at Sumo, to GamesIndustry.biz.

Porter also mentioned that they were making efforts to avoid the shortcomings of the prior game, Crackdown 2. Specifically, he said, “My experience of Crackdown is probably similar to a lot of other people’s,” he said. “I played the first one to death–played it in co-op, collected all the orbs. After a couple of hours of playing Crackdown 2 I wanted to throw my controller at the TV, and I was really quite sad. That’s definitely not the route that’s been taken with Crackdown 3 .” With that in mind, the time from now and release will be used to apply a coat of polish to the game.

Crackdown 3 is currently slated for a February 2019 release. Microsoft has said that they won’t delay the game any further. The game will appear on the Xbox One and PC.
