Dead Rising 2 and Off The Record Are Now Steamworks Compatible

Earlier this week, Capcom Employee GregaMan revealed in a post over on the Capcom Unity website that both Dead Rising 2 and Dead Rising 2: Off the Record have finally transferred over to Steamworks and include several Steam Achievements for fans to unlock.

Unfortunately, players who purchased the games directly from the Microsoft’s Games for Windows Live marketplace won’t be able get the Steamworks versions due to a lack of authentication options. This same rule also applies to all DLC content that was purchased through the GFWL marketplace.

Those who don’t encounter any of the issues listed above will be happy to know that game saves can also be migrated over to the Steamworks versions of both titles. This is a great feature for those who never finished the games and are interested in doing so now. Additionally, both games will feature trading cards and leaderboards for those who want to compare their stats with others.

Are any of you planning to jump back into Dead Rising 2 or Off the Record ? Please feel free to let us know in the comments section below.
