Dead Rising 2: Case Zero has sold over 500,000 copies since its release, announced Capcom. Case Zero is a prologue to Dead Rising 2. The actual game, Dead Rising 2, comes out on Tuesday, September 28. Capcom is pleased with the results of this marketing strategy, stating that it gives them a better idea what the demand for a title will be. In addition the prologue offered great exposure for the full-length game to come.  Capcom believes the success of this venture will pave the way to more developers using episodic gaming to promote their games. The company is also planning to release a second downloadable game, Case West, as an epilogue to Dead Rising 2. |
