Dead Rising 4 to be a One-Year Xbox, PC Exclusive

Dead Rising 4 to be a One-Year Xbox, PC Exclusive

Capcom has always given Xbox owners the undead goods exclusively, at least when it comes to Dead Rising . When Dead Rising 4 was revealed at E3 it was revealed during Microsoft’s conference, and we assumed that it would be an Xbox One and Windows 10 exclusive like everything else we saw there. That might not be the case, however, While Capcom and Microsoft have struck a deal for exclusivity for Dead Rising 4, it’s just a temporary thing.

Through various tweets and then an official statement from Microsoft, we’ve learned that Dead Rising 4 will be exclusive to Xbox One and PC for a year. There’s an extra little layer to this as well: during the first 90 days that the game is out, it will be exclusive to Windows 10 PC. This is how they worded it in the statement: “Fans will be able to play ‘Dead Rising 4’ first on Xbox One and Windows 10 PC this December. It will remain a Windows 10 exclusive for the first 90 days and console exclusive on Xbox One for one year.” So it sounds like when that first 90 days is up, all PC owners will be able to find Dead Rising 4 on Steam, and in a year’s time PS4 owners could get in on the action. Sounds pretty good to me!
