Dragon Quest 6: Realms of Revelation released in Japan on December 9, 1995. Originally for the SNES, This game didn’t make it to the Western world until 15 years later on the Nintendo DS. This was the last Dragon Quest title to be released for the Super Nintendo and it was the first entry to not be developed by Chunsoft. Some people consider Dragon Quest 6 to be the first game to ever have pre-order exclusives however this hasn’t been confirmed by video game historians just yet. Dragon Quest 6: Realms of Revelation Premise
Dragon Quest 6 has a lot in common with 3 and 7. Especially when it comes to the Vocation system. While this title is much more similar to its successor Dragon Quest 7, fans of the third entry will be right at home with its systems. The graphics and gameplay are also reminiscent of the games that came before while still being a nice improvement.
Dragon Quest 6: Realms of Revelation Main Characters
- Rek: The silent protagonist that is meant to be the player’s avatar.
- Carver (Hassan): A strong martial artist and friend of the main character.
- Milly (Mireille): A kind woman who specializes in supportive magic.
- Ashlynn (Barbara): A fiery sorceress who specializes in offensive magic.
- Nevan (Chamoro): A cautious priest also skilled in supportive magic.
- Terry: A cold swordsman, who transitions from antagonist to party member.
- Goowain: A slime knight that brings a bit of charm to the party.
- Lizzie: A character who joins after Terry. She’s incredibly strong and shouldn’t be missed.
