Elder Scrolls Online Free to Play Until April 18

Elder Scrolls Online Free to Play Until April 18

Elder Scrolls Online has always been one of those weirdly contested games. Some people love it, some people hate it. Personally, I wish I had more time and money to delve deeply into the wide and wonderful world of Elder Scrolls Online . I’ll get back to it one of these days. But for those of you that haven’t played it yet, let me remind you that it no longer requires a subscription to play. There’s no monthly fee. This news isn’t about that though, it’s about the upcoming free week that Bethesda is offering as a favor to fans.

Elder Scrolls Online will be free to play from tomorrow, April 11 until April 18. Just find the game on your PlayStation 4, Xbox One, or PC and get to downloading. You’ll only get the Tamriel Unlimited base portion of the game, none of the expansions. However, the base game and the Elder Scrolls Online: Gold Edition (which has all of the expansion) will be on sale until April 18 as well! We don’t know what this sale price is yet, but you’ll find out tomorrow.

Sure it’s a self-serving favor since it’s really just to get more people to buy the game before the Morrowind add-on comes out in June. But hey, who am I to complain? Give Elder Scrolls Online a chance if you haven’t already yet. During the next week you literally have nothing to lose!
