Epic Games Shutting Down Paragon

Epic Games Shutting Down Paragon

Not long ago, Epic Games posted a community-facing notice that things weren’t going great for Paragon . The developer said it would be focusing its resources on the exploding Fortnite . In the meantime, a smaller crew would be delivering the still-scheduled content, while brainstorming how to attempt bringing life back to Paragon . Unfortunately, those brainstorming sessions didn’t seem to go well.

In a new announcement, Epic Games has announced the closure of Paragon , effective on April 26, 2018. The developer states that while they appreciate the passionate community which has stuck with the game, the team was not able to find a good method to make Paragon “sustainable.”

Epic Games seems to consider this a failure on the company’s part, and the note doubles as an apology to Paragon ’s existing fanbase. Epic is also offering full refunds for purchases made on the game. The refunds are coming directly from Epic, so players will need to link their Epic accounts to their PC, if they’re console players, before being able to request a refund.
