The recent upgrade from Counter-Strike: Global Offensiveto Counter-Strike 2 brings with it a slew of improvements to performance, balancing, and visuals. Thankfully, the original game‘s full roster of 53 weapons returns in Counter-Strike 2, with every weapon in the game retaining its same core stats and skins not to upset the in-game economy and third-party skin resellers.
Weapon Types
Out of the 53 different weapons in Counter-Strike 2, every weapon in the game can be grouped into one of 6 categories. There are Pistols,Rifles, SMGs, Heavy weapons, and Knives, and then the Zeus x27 is on an island of its own in the Other category. Within each of the categories are separate groupings of weapons as well. As an example, there are semi-auto and full-auto Pistols, and Rifles include both assault rifles and long-range sniper rifles. Heavy weapons can be broken down into shotguns and machine guns, while the Knives category contains several distinct types of blades for melee, utility, and status.
Weapon Skins & Rarity
Aside from their utility in-game, the value of every weapon in Counter-Strike 2 is determined by two factors. The first of these is its Rarity, which ranges from least to most rare using the scale below:

Note that only one weapon in the entirety of Counter-Strike has ever earned the Contraband rarity — the M4A4 in the Howl variant. As a result, this weapon is only available through trade or purchase through third-party sellers.
In addition to a weapon’s Rarity, its Condition factors into its value as well. Condition of Counter-Strike 2 weapons helps to determine its overall quality, with a rating of 1.00 being the lowest quality and 0.00 being the highest:
