Far Cry 2 Director Leaves Valve

Far Cry 2 Director Leaves Valve

Clint Hocking, known for his work on the Far Cry and Splinter Cell series, has left Valve after only 17 months with the company. He currently hasn’t said why, but we do know that he left shortly before the new year.

Before Hocking found himself at Valve, he worked with LucasArts on an unannounced project. He was one of the many designers who found themselves out in the cold during the big Disney acquisition, and he found himself at Valve in July of 2012, though it was never revealed what project he was working on. Fans speculate that it was Left 4 Dead 3 , though that has not been confirmed.

It is currently unclear where Hocking will be going from here, or whether or not he will stay in the video game industry. We here at Cheat Code Central wish him the best in all of his endeavors. We will bring you more information on Hocking’s departure from Valve as it becomes available.
