It appears as though Square-Enix has finally discovered the key to making Final Fantasy XIV a success: make it more like Final Fantasy XI. A set of Final Fantasy XI jobs will be coming to Final Fantasy XIV in the next game patch. The jobs included are Paladin, Monk, Warrior, Dragoon, Bard, White Mage, and Black Mage, all of which are unlocked by achieving certain level pre-requisites in Final Fantasy XIV’s already existing jobs, then completing a quest that unlocks the new job itself. 
Some fans are already theorizing that this might mean that other FFXI jobs will make the transition over to FFXIV in the future. Only time will tell, but one thing is certain: FFXIV, today, has improved vastly over the original version that was released less than two years ago. By Angelo M. D’Argenio |
