Final Fantasy Type-0 Getting Translated by Fans

Final Fantasy Type-0 Getting Translated by Fans

Final Fantasy Type-0 , another entry in Square-Enix’s planned Fabula Nova Crystalis project that would include Final Fantasy XIII and Final Fantasy Versus XIII (which is now Final Fantasy XV), wasn’t played by many people. It came out late in the PSP’s life when all North American PSP owners were looking toward the Vita. As a result, it only came out in Japan, and American audiences missed all its RPG wonder.

Luckily for us, and unluckily for the PSP, the console was saturated with piracy toward the end of its lifetime. This makes it incredibly easy for fans to hack existing game images, and that’s exactly what is happening with Final Fantasy Type-0 . A group of fans have come together to translate the classic game for English speaking audiences, and it looks to be good quality.

The team is giving a tentative release date of August 8 for their translation patch. Of course, to be able to play it you will need a PSP with custom firmware and a legit ROM of Final Fantasy Type-0 , and it’s up to you to find those.
