Fire Emblem: Awakening Cheats, Unlockables, and Secrets for Nintendo 3DS

Fire Emblem: Awakening is a strange entry in the Fire Emblem franchise. Some fans praise it and love it for “saving the series” while others hate it for being a bit too anime compared to the rest of the series. Love it or hate it, Awakening’s impact cannot be understated. The franchise was struggling and the developers thought it might be the last entry. Luckily, the game sold incredibly well and now when people talk about their favorite Fire Emblem titles, Awakening is always a part of that conversation.

This title was released in Japan on April 19, 2012, before coming to the rest of the world the following year. The game received critical acclaim and some even consider the game one of the greatest handheld titles and one of the greatest video games of all time. If you wanted to get into the Fire Emblem franchise, then it wouldn’t be terrible to start with Fire Emblem: Awakening.

Fire Emblem: Awakening’s Premise

Fire Emblem: Awakening is very similar to the other games in the franchise but it’s most known for the new things it brought to the formula. The character relationship mechanics are loved by myself and many other fans of the title. Relationships can be built between characters throughout the chapters. Most of the characters were able to fall in love, marry, and have children. The system doesn’t end there! You can even recruit these children into your army and the children’s looks and abilities depend on their parents. Many fans liked this implementation of character bonding, while some later iterations were critically panned.

Fire Emblem: Awakening’s Main Characters

• Chrom — The prince of Ylisse and leader of the Shepherds.
• Robin — The customizable player character, who can be male or female. They serve as Chrom’s tactician.
• Lissa — Chrom’s younger sister and a cleric of Ylisse.
• Frederick — A knight who serves as Chrom’s lieutenant and protector.
• Sumia — A clumsy but kind-hearted Pegasus Knight who is close to Chrom.
• Lucina — Chrom’s daughter from the future who travels back in time to prevent a catastrophic future.
• Cordelia — A talented Pegasus Knight and loyal member of the Shepherds.
• Gaius — A thief with a sweet tooth who joins the Shepherds.
• Lon’qu — A skilled swordsman from Regna Ferox with a fear of women.
• Tharja — A dark mage from Plegia with an obsessive interest in the Avatar.
• Owain — Lissa’s son from the future, known for his dramatic personality.
• Inigo — Olivia’s son from the future, who is charming and flirtatious.
• Severa — Cordelia’s daughter from the future, who has a strong, competitive personality.
• Noire — Tharja’s daughter from the future, who has a split personality.
• Kjelle — Sully’s daughter from the future, known for her strength and determination.
• Gerome – Cherche’s son from the future, who is quiet and reserved.
• Morgan — The player character’s child, who can be either male or female depending on the gender of Robin.
• Tiki — A divine dragon and the Voice of Naga, who aids Chrom and his army.
• Anna — A merchant with a mysterious background, appearing in various places throughout the game.

Renown Awards

The following items are gained after clearing Chapter and have a certain amount of “Renown”. Players gain Renown by completing non-DLC battles. These items can be obtained once per file, and the Renown isn’t spent after obtaining these items. Renown carries over to new files.
