You had to expect companies to make some announcements at EVO 2015. It is the biggest fighting game convention and tournament. What better way to reveal the first original character joining the Street Fighter V cast? That’s exactly what Capcom did.
Necalli certainly doesn’t look like any of the returning cast members, but his animalistic nature and wild hair call Blanka to mind. His V-Skill, Culminated Power, has him smashing the ground to cause an explosion, while his V-Trigger, Torrent of Power, changes his appearance, temporarily giving him access to a new attack and combo options.
Then again, maybe he looks like some sort of mishmash of Blanka and Akuma? He won’t be part of the beta, so we’ll have to wait until March 2016 for more information on him.
