Forza Horizon 2 Xbox 360 will be a “Different Game” to Xbox One Version

Forza Horizon 2 Xbox 360 will be a “Different Game” to Xbox One Version

In an interview with Digital Spy during this year’s E3 event a couple of weeks ago, Forza Horizon co-developer Playground Games’ creative director Ralph Fulton explained that the Xbox 360 version of Horizon’s sequel, Forza Horizon 2 , will be a different game than the Xbox One version, but they will both be “ inspired by the same ideas.

“I t’s based in the same world, it’s based on the same themes, ” Fulton told Digital Spy . ” Rather than thinking of them as the same game on different platforms, they are different games inspired by the same ideas.

According to Digital Spy, the Xbox One version of Forza Horizon 2 will use the same technology that was behind Forza Motorsport 5 , and the Xbox 360 version will use the same engine as the original Forza Horizon .

There are things we are doing in Forza Horizon 2 on Xbox One that honestly couldn’t be done on any other console, ” Fulton added, confirming to Digital Spy that the Forza Horizon 2’s dynamic weather system and Drivatars will only be possible on the Xbox One.

Forza Horizon 2 was announced earlier this month on Tuesday, June 3. The game will also be set in Southern Europe, and its music will again play a big part, as a music festival will be central event that the game will focus around.

The game is slated to release on Tuesday, September 30 for Xbox One and Xbox 360. You can watch Forza Horizon 2’s E3 2014 gameplay trailer via the embedded video below.
