U.S. retailer GameStop has claimed that Activision’s Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 is on track to become the biggest ever game launch for the firm.
It confirmed that the sequel to Call of Duty: Black Ops, which has sold over 25 million units, is currently the most pre-ordered title in its history.
“Consumer anticipation for Call of Duty: Black Ops II is tremendous,” GameStop president Tony Bartel said. “We are seeing the highest pre-orders in history.”
“With its current pace, this Call of Duty is on track to break records and is likely to be our biggest game launch of all time,” he added.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 is currently scheduled for a worldwide launch on November 13 th , 2012 on the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC.
