In a recent panel at PAX South, Gearbox, the developer of Borderlands , has given some info on upcoming Borderlands: The Pre Sequel DLC.
First, they gave us info about The Baroness, the DLC character that fans found in the game’s code, The Baroness. The Baroness, AKA Lady Hammerlock, is the sister of Sir Hammerlock from Borderlands 2 . She was developed to be “the ultimate sniper character.” Her action causes an A.I. controlled shard of frost to attack and slow enemies even at great distances from her. Her three skill trees involve increasing her skill with sniper rifles, increasing her ability to freeze enemies in place, or allowing her to form “contracts” with other players, that make them her manservants which grant bonuses to both her and her servants alike. By the time she hits level 60, she is doing several times normal damage with headshots, freezing all enemies around her, and causing all of her teammates to heal and gain damage bonuses when she does.
They also provided information about the next upcoming story DLC. This will feature the vault hunters going inside ClapTraps mind. There will probably be a lot of dubstep there. Unfortunately there wasn’t a lot more to say about the DLC than that.
Players who have purchased the season pass for Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel will receive both these pieces of DLC for free. Prices for both packs individually have not yet been announced.
