A while back, we announced the Horde Command Pack , the first upcoming DLC for Gears of War 3. The pack was supposed to come out on November 1st and include three new maps, new weapons, new fortifications upgrades, new characters, new weapon skins, and more. Well, it’s November 1st and I’m not seeing any Horde Command Pack available for download. What’s going on here?



Well, it turns out that the Horde Command Pack has suffered a delay due to a “technical issue.” There’s no official word on what this issue is, but it’s enough to push the pack back for an indeterminate period of time; no substitute release window has been given yet. Epic games posted this apology on the Epic community forums:

We know this is disappointing news as we’ve seen a lot of posts today showing excitement for this content. We have folks working around the clock to resolve this issue ASAP so you can all play and enjoy the Command Pack.

Oh well. I guess we’ll just have to be patient. It’s still not too late to get that season pass, though.
