According to a less than enthusiastic tweet from industry insider shinobi602 , as reported by FanSided , sources have told them that Sony Computer Entertainment’s PlayStation 3 title God of War: Ascension will apparently be making its way to PlayStation 4 at an unspecified time.
“ Not very exciting but GOW Ascension’s coming to PS4, ” declared shinobi602 via Twitter .
Though shinobi602 didn’t reveal any sort of retail release information or any pricing information (as there was allegedly none to report), they did reveal that the title has been listed as a PlayStation Network release , implying that the game will be available as a digital download.
Even though they’re not sure if the title will be a “remastered” version of the original, the industry insider hopes that the title will run at native 1080p, 60 frames per second . As far as what is currently known at this time, Sony has yet to comment on this. We’ll bring you further updates on this rumor should further information arise.
Speaking of rumors, Wedbush Securities’ analyst Michael Pachter claims that ports for PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4 of Rockstar Games’ record-smashing title Grand Theft Auto 5 may be on the horizon , with a PC port coming sooner than a port to the Xbox One or the PlayStation 4.
Furthermore, some information has cropped up about a PlayStation 4-PlayStation Vita bundle on the French gaming website “GameBlog France”, whose anonymous sources claim that such a bundle will be available mid June in 2014 .
Lastly, due to some images cropping up, it has been rumored that another Souls title may be releasing on Sony’s PlayStation 4 , be it either From Software’s Demon’s Souls or a yet-to-be-announced title. However, according to one image, the project from which these images are believed to be from may be titled “ Project Beast ”.
