While everyone anxiously anticipates Steam’s promised holiday sale, GOG has already started theirs. Last year, they put almost their entire catalog on sale for half off, which seemed like an overabundance of options on great deals, but I wasn’t complaining.
This year, at first glance, it appears they’re doing it again, but they’ve also instituted a few more structured deals with even more dramatic savings. While much of the catalog is half off, save for newer releases, today they have a bundle of Bullfrog titles that are 75 percent off. They’re also offering the Duke Nukem 3D: Atomic Edition free of charge, for all who wish to “Hail to the King” for the holidays.
There are promises of more deals as the holidays go on, with the sale coming to a close on January 3, 2013. As always, all games from GOG.com are DRM-free, and can even be gifted to a friend who doesn’t yet have an account, by e-mail. After all, what better gift is there than the resurgence of childhood gaming memories?
