Earlier today, ArenaNet confirmed on their dedicated Guild Wars Wiki that they are launching a series of in-game festivities tomorrow to commemorate the nine-year anniversary of the release of the original Guild Wars . Below is a quick list of the festivities that fans can expect to partake in starting tomorrow:
- The Shing Jea Boardwalk, Dragon Arena, and Rollerbeetle Racing are open.
- Elite Xunlai Agent Isa Ku, Sadie Salvitas, and Shing Jea Boardwalk event NPCs appear.
- A fifteen-minute fireworks display occurs at the beginning of every hour (UTC) in Great Temple of Balthazar, Lion’s Arch, Shing Jea Monastery and Kamadan, Jewel of Istan.
- Kaineng Center and Shing Jea Monastery are decorated.
- Ceira, Sworn to Fire offers to unlock the Hound of Balthazar.
In addition to the festivities listed above, fans will also gain access to several special items from foes after defeating them. These festive items will include things like champagne poppers, hard apple cider and cupcakes.
Fans who still have yet to get their hands of Guild Wars 2 will most certainly enjoy all of the goodies being planned for tomorrow. It’s great to see ArenaNet stays committed to supporting their games after all of this time.
