Halo Summer Celebration Brings Tons of New Halo Updates

343 Industries has a lot to say about the Halo franchise, and has released a whole bunch of new information, dubbing the event the “2017 Halo Summer Celebration.” The enormous blog post on the official Halo Waypoint website includes updates for Halo 5 , Halo Wars 2 , Xbox One Backwards Compatibility, and much more in the multimedia realm of Halo .

First, Halo 5 . 343 has confirmed that on the release date of the Xbox One X, Halo 5 will be updated to support 4K resolution. Along with that, 343 is adding a whole ton of games to Xbox One Backwards Compatibility. Halo CE: Anniversary , Halo 3 , Halo 3: ODST and Halo 4 are all coming to the service. All of the multiplayer features, including LAN play, will be available. Additionally, every add-on map pack for Xbox 360 Halo games will be free.

In Halo Wars 2 news, 343 has laid out all the Season Pass content through August, showing all the new multiplayer Leaders that are available now, and what’s coming up. July and August will see Serina, new missions in Operation: Spearbreaker and Yapyap the Destroyer. After the Season Pass concludes, a new expansion called Awakening the Nightmare will launch in the fall.
