Here’s How Much Space Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 Needs

If you are planning to hop into Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 on October 12, 2018, you better make room. Activision has information on the shooter’s initial install and day one patch, and this game is a whopper. Basically, you need 112GB total on each platform to start the download and update, and 55GB at the end for the full game.

Here’s how it works out. 55GB of that space is taken up by the game. Whether you get a physical or digital copy of Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 on any platform, you will be looking at a 55GB initial install. Once you hit around 20GB installed, which is about 30%, you can start playing the Blackout battle royale mode.

The Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 day one update is 50GB. So once you get the game installed, you need to get this substantial update to play. Since this installment is multiplayer-only and has no single-player campaign, you can’t just opt out. You have to be on the latest version to play online.

On the plus side, all you need is 55GB of space when all the updates are done!
