Hitman Absolution’s Agent 47 Retains Original Voice Actor

Square Enix has announced that original Hitman voice actor David Bateson will once again voice protagonist Agent 47 in Hitman Absolution.

The publisher had previously stated that Bateson would not be lending his voice to the forthcoming Hitman installment, but after a “long search” it’s been decided that he’s the one to voice Agent 47 yet again.

Bateson has been the voice of the assassin since the launch of the first Hitman title back in 2000.

“IO and Bateson have been bed fellows for over a decade and like all long-running relationships sometimes absence makes the heart grow fonder,” Hitman brand director Jon Brooke said. “Looking back I think we were just playing hard to get.”

Square Enix also confirmed that Ethan from the TV series Lost, William Mapother, provided the motion capture work for Agent 47.

Hitman Absolution is due for a worldwide release on November 20 th .
