Japan Gets First Dibs On MGR: Revengeance DLC

Japan Gets First Dibs On MGR: Revengeance DLC

Platinum Games has done a great job with the localization of their newest blockbuster, Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance . However, there’s still a time gap between releases, which means that Japanese gamers will be getting the jump on the final piece of DLC. Titled “Blade Wolf”, the content is set to debut in Japan on May 9 th , as Konami recently confirmed.

The new DLC will stick to the $9.99 price tag for its stateside release, which will likely occur within a week of its Japanese release.

Revengeance is already a strange title, having put a hack-and-slash spin on the stealth-based Metal Gear name, but this DLC definitely takes the bizarre cake. In Blade Wolf, the player assumes the role of IQ-84i, a cutting-edge (forgive the pun) robot dog. To make things better, this not-so-little robot has a chainsaw on its back.

Why does the dog have a fifth limb in the form of a chainsaw? Because Platinum Games.
