Kickstarter Founded For Shadowrun Sequel

None

Kickstarter is quickly becoming the funding method of choice for indie games. First, Double Fine was met with three million dollars of success when they tried to fund their new adventure project. Then Wasteland 2 and Leisure Suit Larry joined the Kickstarter party. Now, Shadowrun is asking its fans for a hand with Shadowrun Returns, a new title that will be developed for PC, iOS, and Android tablets.

Jordan Weisman, the creator of Shadowrun, is hoping to raise $400,000 for the project. He has currently raised $389,052 with only 8,424 backers and there are still 23 days left to go.

The Kickstarter page promises that the game will have a story written by popular authors of the Shadowrun pencil-and-paper RPG, a rich and varied class and job system, four separate realities to play in, and more. Donators that give over a thousand dollars will even be put into the game as NPCs.
