Legend of Zelda DLC Coming to Monster Hunter Stories

Capcom’s Monster Hunter series is no stranger to Nintendo tie-in DLC, and the same holds true for the series’ monster-collecting spinoff, Monster Hunter Stories . Today, Nintendo revealed via its social media channels an upcoming DLC for the game featuring goodies from the Legend of Zelda . Epona’s a monster now!

The trailer shows the main character, who is fully customizable by the player, decked out in Link’s signature green costume and wielding the Master Sword. The player is also shown riding on Epona as a full party member  (or “Monstie” in the world of Monster Hunter Stories ) and using a new Triforce Gallop Kinship Skill. Finally, the story’s feline companion, Navirou, is shown wearing a Skull Kid costume from Majora’s Mask .

In the announcement, Nintendo announced that not only is the Legend of Zelda content coming to Monster Hunter Stories on this Thursday, September 28, but it will also be free. Monster Hunter Stories itself was released on September 8 on the 3DS. A free demo is also available, which carries its save data over to the full game and unlocks a new costume for Navirou as well.
