Mario Kart 8 Patch Details Provided by Nintendo

Mario Kart 8 Patch Details Provided by Nintendo

Lately, Nintendo has changed its strategy a bit with its various game updates. With games like ARMS and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe , the publisher has been providing detailed patch notes to accompany its occasional software updates. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe has been updated to version 1.2, with a series of quality of life updates and big fixes.

Online play in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe seems to have been harboring several issues, and Nintendo is working on addressing a lot of them. For example, items have been sticking around for use after blocking attacks, the boomerang has been struggling to return properly, and sometimes the item wheel doesn’t stop spinning. According to the 1.2 patch notes, these have all been addressed. Nintendo has also fixed some communication error problems, as well as changed what items people lagging behind in a race get in order to balance the game a bit more.

Nintendo also added a new costume for the Mii character. Want to be a Pikmin? Well, it added a Pikmin -themed costume for anyone who scans a Pikmin amiibo.
