Mario Kart Tour Details Leak Out

Mario Kart Tour Details Leak Out

Mario Kart Tour , the mobile version of Mario Kart that will be free-to-play and involve some sort of microtransactions, has entered a closed beta phase. This means that the people involved in said beta are leaking all kinds of details about the game, even though they probably aren’t supposed to. As a result, we now have an idea of which racers will be present, how control schemes work, how long races are, and how items will work.

First, Mario Kart Tour will be played via swiping on the screen on devices held in Portrait mode. A Landscape mode option was not available. Cars auto accelerate. Each race involves two laps, rather than the three found in most Mario Kart games. A stamina system is in place, limiting how many races you can participate in. The number of items a character can hold will also vary depending on the racer used on certain tracks, as someone like Toadette will normally have only one item slot, but will have three item slots when she is racing on the Toad Circuit track. Mario, Baby Mario, Metal Mario, Luigi, Baby Luigi, Peach, Baby Peach, Daisy, Baby Daisy, Toad, Toadette, Rosalina, Baby Rosalina, Dry Bowser, Donkey Kong, the Koopalings, and Waluigi were among the racers in the beta.

Mario Kart Tour is also a gacha mobile game. This means you will need to use currency to open boxes to get access to new things. Racers, karts, and gliders are the three gacha items present in the beta. (Some racers are billed as Rare, like Luigi.) You don’t know which one you will get when you opt in.

Nintendo hasn’t announced a release window or date for Mario Kart Tour . However, it will eventually be coming to both Android and Apple iOS devices.
