Mass Effect 2 and 3 Are Backwards Compatible on Xbox One

Man, yesterday was a great N7 day, wasn’t it? We had a new Mass Effect: Andromeda trailer and a deluxe edition reveal . But, it wasn’t about just introducing new things. It was a time to revisit classic Mass Effect adventures too. Which is why Xbox One owners can now play two more Mass Effect Xbox 360 games on their systems.

Mass Effect was already backwards compatible, but now both Mass Effect 2 and 3 are as well. This includes the Mass Effect Trilogy bundle and every bit of DLC for the two games. You can experience the entire adventure all over again as you wait for Mass Effect: Andromeda’ s debut next year.

This may be silly, but a part of me is hoping this could have some additional impact on Mass Effect: Andromeda . Like maybe someone who has a save file for one or all of the three previous games on their Xbox One will have some kind of bonus in the new game? Maybe a reference to Commander Shepard or special piece of equipment?
