Mass Effect 4 Release Details Were Fabricated

Mass Effect 4 Release Details Were Fabricated

Yesterday, we ran a story about Mass Effect 4 being released in either late 2014 or early 2015. Well, it turns out that the source for the report wasn’t being entirely honest. The entire original article from GamerSyndrome has been pulled.

A source from EA reached out to CinemaBlend to discuss the matter, saying “At no time did EA or BioWare provide any answers to questions from Gamer Syndrome.” They went on to call the original interview “completely fabricated.”

For what it’s worth, GamerSyndrome has echoed that the interview was not genuine and apologized for the matter. Regardless, the damage had been done. The “news” caught on like wildfire and spread through the entire Internet.

Here’s what we do know about the next game in the Mass Effect series: BioWare Montreal is handling development and the game will be using Frostbite 2.0. Other than that, no concrete details about the game have been set.

Hopefully when we learn more about the game, the information that comes out will be true.
