Last month , we reported that stealth action classic Metal Gear Solid 4 was finally getting trophy support a full four years after its initial launch. Today, Konami has announced that the long-awaited update will be coming to PlayStation 3’s everywhere “in the beginning of August,” which would mean sometime very soon. Yoshikazu Matsuhana, Producer of the MGS4 Trophy Project, made the announcement on the US PlayStation Blog today, stating that retail versions of Snake’s last adventure will contain native trophy support right out of the box when the update goes live. While no firm release date was given for the US, Andriasang is reporting that the update is scheduled to arrive on August 6, in Japan at least. Whether or not that date will apply to the rest of the world is still unknown at this time. ![]()
