Too Human will release in North America on August 19, followed by the European release on August 29. It’s good to finally get a firm release date, especially considering how many times the title was delayed. Unfortunately, the news isn’t all rosy! According to the developer Silicon Knights’ press release, the vaunted co-op multiplayer will only be available online and for up to two players. Originally, players were going to be able to start a co-op campaign, go online, meet up with up to three other players, hop back off, and continue playing by themselves. Now it seems as though that vision was a bit too ambitious. It’s hard to believe that a local multiplayer co-op option would not be included. If it is not, they’re making a mistake; playing with a friend online is great, but playing with a friend in your living room is much better! If we have to manage two different co-op game saves with redundant missions, that’s OK, just give us the option! |
