Kojima Productions has released a few comparison facts regarding it’s next-gen tactical-espionage game Metal Gear Solid V for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Xbox One and PlayStation 4, fundamentally putting to bed any questions of which version will look be look better visually.
As part of a new ancillary page put up for the purpose of this comparison, eight comparison screenshots split across current-gen and next-gen consoles and a small spreadsheet table detailing resolution and framerate are listed on Kojima’s official page . The two console brands have four images each, and the visual difference from current-gen to next-gen is fairly noticeable, at least from my eyes.
According to the spreadsheet, Metal Gear Solid V on all the consoles, save the PlayStation 4, will run at 720p resolution. On PlayStation 4, Metal Gear Solid V will run at 1080p. The game will also run at 30 frames per second on both PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, and at 60 frames per second on both PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
Metal Gear Solid V’s , counterpart, Ground Zeroes , will be dropping next month on March 18 in North America, and March 20 in Japan and Europe.
