Microsoft revealed a new benefit for members of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate today. That’s in addition to the games coming to and leaving Microsoft’s popular subscription service. The new benefits are called Perks, appropriately enough, and they’re bringing additional content to members shelling out for the Ultimate version of the service.
Announced on the official Xbox site, Microsoft states that while Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers have been enjoying the service, there has been additional demand for content outside of just games. That’s in-game content specifically, since Game Pass doesn’t usually offer things like DLC alongside the base games. To kick things off, Microsoft is adding in-game content for four games this month, including Sega’s Phantasy Star Online 2 open beta.
PSO 2 is getting a “special content bundle,” which includes Xbox-themed cosmetic items. World of Tanks is getting, well, some free tanks. Sea of Thieves is getting some Ori -themed content, so fans of the series can deck out their ship to celebrate the latest release. Finally, Smite players can grab a bundle containing five characters, skins, and voice packs. All of this comes with Xbox Game Pass Ultimate membership, with no additional legwork needed.
March 2020’s new additions to Xbox Game Pass for PC include Ninja Theory’s debuting Bleeding Edge , which is also a Play Anywhere title. Also coming is Astrologaster , The Surge 2 , and Power Rangers: Battle for the Grid . For the console, The Surge 2 , Kona , and Ace Combat 7 arrive on March 19, 2020. Bleeding Edge drops on the 24, and Power Rangers on the 29.
And, sadly, here’s the stuff both sides of the service will be losing. No dates in the blog post, but you can expect all of these titles to leave the list as March goes on:
