When the Xbox One X launched, Microsoft quietly was able to add some enhancements to a small list of Xbox 360 games, including Mirrors Edge and Gears of War 3 . This week, a new list of 360 games was enhanced for the powerful new console. But that’s not all.
First, let’s look the list of games. Crackdown, Fable: Anniversary, Forza Horizon, and The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings have all been added to the Xbox One X Enhanced list. This is in addition to the original list, which comprises Assassin’s Creed, Fallout 3, Gears of War 3, Halo 3, Mirror’s Edge, The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion, and Skate 3 .
Also, a new graphics options has been added to the Xbox 360 emulation UI. Players can now go into the settings via the Xbox 360 guide, and find the option to toggle between “Graphics” or “Performance” modes. Performance mode will make 360 games function more akin to how they would on a normal Xbox One or Xbox One S, and may net some frame rate gains without the added enhancements.
