Mysterious Sony Classic Set To Receive HD Update

Mysterious Sony Classic Set To Receive HD Update

It’s no grand secret that HD rereleases and series bundles have become a popular trend for current-generation consoles. We’ve already seen countless icons return with a fresh coat of pixels, and a new job listing from Bluepoint Games—the minds behind The Ico & Shadow of the Colossus Collection, God of War Collection, and Metal Gear Solid HD Collection —shows that that list is only going to get longer.

The listing, seeking a Senior Graphics Engineer, details that Bluepoint is “currently bringing a Sony classic to current game systems as well as teaming our technical expertise with an industry leading developer on a next-gen, blockbuster franchise.” So, beyond the return of a currently unknown icon, it seems Bluepoint is finally taking their dedicated staff into the realm of originality with the development of an alleged blockbuster .

Unfortunately, the more revealing details of the release have yet to come to light. Now, I’m no psychic, but I’m willing to put at least a small, admittedly optimistic bet towards the rise of Crash Bandicoot, courtesy of Naughty Dog, who just so happens to be a rather cinematically-inclined studio.

Comment the series or game you want to see rereleased below. We’re taking all bets.
