In an interview with Game Trailers , BioWare Edmonton and BioWare Montreal boss Aaryn Flynn explained that the studio had a “ really cool idea ” for how the franchise would continue.
” I can’t get into that too much. We’ve got a really cool idea for how we’re going to carry on – keep the trilogy separate but at the same time give a bunch of nods to fans who enjoyed the trilogy in the past, ” Flynn teased. “ That’s all going to come out soon. ”
According to Eurogamer, BioWare has already established that the new Mass Effect will not feature Shepard, and their previous companions is also unlikely to return.
When asked about returning characters, Flynn only confirmed that there’ll be returning races–such as the korgans.
