Ninja Gaiden 3: Blood And Story Intertwined

None

New details have surfaced on the forthcoming third entry in the new Ninja Gaiden series of action titles. The game will have buckets of gore, blood, and viscera—returned from their hiatus during the PS3-exclusive Sigma 2—, the frame-rate is intended to stay at a silky-smooth 60 frames per second, and the store is a thing of the past; Ryu’s weapons are now geared to improve naturally over time. Also, to a sigh of relief from the Ninja Gaiden purists everywhere, the difficulty level will not be lowered to appeal to the casual market.

Perhaps most interesting, however, is the revelation of both competitive and co-op multiplayer, which had been featured in Sigma 2 on a limited scale. Team Ninja has yet to specify what these modes entail, though the possibility of eight-player matches has been raised. In contrast, Ryu has been confirmed as the sole playable character, at this time, with the story’s focus locked on him. Team Ninja seems to want to make this a personal tale for the super-ninja.

Lastly, PlayStation Move support has been mentioned, but has not yet been confirmed as an official feature. This seems to confirm the title for the PS3, the first game in this new Ninja Gaiden series to find its way to the system at launch.
