The latest entry in Tecmo Koei’s fast-paced action series, Ninja Gaiden 3, is no longer content to constrain its abject brutality to the single-player realm. After dabbling with cooperative online play in Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2, Team Ninja is now prepared to introduce competitive online play for the first time in their latest shinobi-themed opus. In an interview with Koei Warriors, the game’s producer, Yosuke Hayashi, discussed its length (8-10 hours), the variety of weapons (lots of katana of various shapes, sizes and, presumably, sharpnesses), and Ryu Hayabusa’s redefinition as a Batman-esque “dark hero.” He also worked in a little detail on the bloody, upcoming brawler’s online gameplay.
One thing is for certain: good or bad, Ninja Gaiden 3 will certainly be a unique experience. By Shelby Reiches |
