According to a Nikkei.net report via Kotaku, Nintendo has plopped down $140 million (¥12.8 billion) for a 40,000 square meter R&D facilitiy. The complex, formerly a driving range, will be located near the company’s Kyoto headquarters. Are the economic hard times looking up? Not likely, but Nintendo has cash to burn to ensure their continued success in the future.
