If you look at the first-party Wii release list for 2011, it can be a little depressing. There’s a Zelda game, and…that’s about it. This seems a little weird, but if you ask Nintendo of America President Reggie Fils-Aime, this is all due to circumstance. First of all, Nintendo of America had to focus on the Pokémon Black and White launch (this little-known series needs all the help it can get!). Secondly, they need to prepare for the launch of the 3DS. They just don’t have time for the Wii at the moment!  Though this sounds kind-of plausible, we’re not buying it. Only one title for an entire year on your home console? Really, Nintendo? You better have something good for us at E3. |
