Oculus Rift Coming to Chuck E. Cheese

Oculus Rift Coming to Chuck E. Cheese

If you considered the Oculus Rift to be a sellout when they were bought by Facebook, just wait until you hear this. Chuck E. Cheese–yes, the children’s restaurant–will be testing out the Oculus Rift as a new attraction. It is called “Chuck E. Cheese’s Virtual Ticket Blaster Experience”. For those of you who haven’t played a normal ticket blaster, it involved standing inside a chamber as tickets are blown around by wind. Your goal? Grab as many as possible. The Virtual Ticket Blaster is the same thing, but in virtual reality… wooooooooooOOOOOOOooooo!

The game was created by Reel FX a Dallas-based visual effects studio. “We believe that virtual reality eventually will be as popular as our handheld devices,” Reel FX founder Dale Carman said. “It’s a game-changer, and we’re investing incredible time and talent into developing content for the Oculus Rift.”
