Oculus Temporarily Drops Its Price to $399

Oculus Temporarily Drops Its Price to $399

Oculus has dropped a proverbial bomb on their fans and would-be fans recently. They have lowered the price of the Oculus, coupled with their Touch controllers, yet again. Previously, the price for the VR headset dropped to $598, but now it’s been lowered to a mere $399 price tag. That $399 gets you the Oculus headset and the Touch controllers, both of which have been pretty great before now, but a little too pricey.

This price drop in particular only lasts six weeks unfortunately, as it is part of Oculus’ Summer of Rift sales event. This has already brought 60% off on games during the 4th of July weekend. Apparently there will be even more sales and deals to come. This is all leading up to Oculus’ conference they will hold in October, called Oculus Connect 4.

Oculus has always been a solid headset. It was just kept out of reach by its expense, as well as all the problems it had regarding supply at the outset. For these six short weeks though, Oculus will be around the same cost as the PlayStation VR. Seems like a great time to get into slightly higher-end virtual reality experience, if you’re game!
