PC Requirements for Ryse: Son of Rome Detailed

As detailed in a Steam community post published on Friday, September 15, Crysis developer Crytek has officially revealed the PC requirements for the previous Xbox One-exclusive Ryse: Son of Rome , which has been slated to release in mid-October.

Since there was some initial confusion about the System Requirements (as we originally posted the specs needed for 4k as recommended on the Store page), we wanted to give you a bit more insight into the system requirements to run the game and some examples of fitting CPUs and GPUs in the three categories, ” Crytek’s community manager Marcel H wrote in the Steam post.

Marcel continued to outline three different lists of hardware requirements for Ryse: Son of Rome: minimum requirements, recommended requirements, and recommended requirements for 4K gameplay. All three lists have been detailed below, courtesy of Marcel.

Minimum:

  • CPU: Dual core with HyperThreading technology or quad core CPU

  • Examples: Intel Core i3 2.8 GHz (3220T) or AMD Phenom II X4 3.2 GHz (945)

  • Memory: 4 GB RAM

  • GPU: DirectX 11 graphics card with 1 GB video RAM

  • Examples: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 560 or AMD Radeon HD 7770

  • OS: 64 bit Windows (Vista, 7, 8)

  • HDD: 26GB

Recommended:

  • CPU: Quad Core or Six Core CPU

  • Examples: Intel Core i5 3.3 GHz (2500k) or AMD FX-6350 3.9 GHz

  • Memory: 8 GB RAM

  • GPU: DirectX 11 graphics card with 2 GB video RAM

  • Examples: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660Ti or AMD Radeon 260x or 7850

  • OS: 64 bit Windows (Vista, 7, 8)

  • HD: 26GB

Recommended for 4k gameplay:

  • CPU: Quad Core or Eight Core CPU

  • Examples: Intel Core i7 3.5 GHz (2700k) or AMD FX-8350 4.0 GHz

  • Memory: 8 GB RAM

  • GPU: DirectX 11 graphics card with 4 GB video RAM

  • Examples: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 780/ Titan or AMD Radeon 290x

  • OS: 64 bit Windows (Vista, 7, 8)

  • HD: 26GB

The PC version of Ryse: Son of Rome , which will also support 4K resolution , will ship with bonus content that was originally released as DLC for the Xbox One version. These DLC packs include the following list detailed below.

  • The Colosseum Pack: contains two character skins and two Arena maps.

  • Mars’ Chosen Pack: contains one new character skin, four Arena maps and the new Survival Mode.

  • Duel of Fates Pack: contains two character skins, two Arena maps and one additional Survival map.

  • Morituri Pack: contains three new Arena maps, two Survival maps and five solo Arena maps.

Finally, PC players will also have instant access to the Ruins multiplayer map as well as the “Legionnaire’s Trust” sword, which was initially released as part of a special edition of the Ryse: Son of Rome .
