PlayStation Now Rental Service Options Revealed

PlayStation Now Rental Service Options Revealed

New images posted by IGN reveal PlayStation Now rental options for streaming games. You will be able to rent a game for one day, seven days or thirty days, which are good options for a trial period, a marathon and a prolonged playthrough. Renting a game actually starts the countdown as soon as you play the game for the first time. So you can actually rent a game and just keep it on your harddrive without playing it for a rainy day and your rental period won’t decrease.

Unfortunately, prices haven’t yet been attached to these rental options. Sony has gone on record saying it will cost about five dollars to rent a game, however, they have not made it clear what rental period that cost is attached to. In addition, it’s unclear if you can actually just purchase a game on PlayStation Now to own forever, if you will need to do so again for PS3 games you already own, and how much it will cost. Hopefully we will get more information about this service come E3 time.
