Pokemon Exec Confirms Pokemon Games Coming to NX

Pokemon Exec Confirms Pokemon Games Coming to NX

We have more exciting news in the world of Pokemon today. This time it comes from a Wall Street Journal interview with Pokemon Company exec Tsunekazu Ishihara. Ishihara-san stated confidently that the Pokemon Company would be producing games for Nintendo’s upcoming gaming system, and even hinted (whether he meant to or not) that it would indeed be a hybrid device of some kind. “The NX is trying to change the concept of what it means to be a home console device or a hand-held device,” he said. “We will make games for the NX.”

Sounds pretty conclusive, doesn’t it? Nintendo and The Pokemon Company have very close ties, so I think it’s safe to say that The Pokemon Company have, and are using, NX SDKs. Saying that Nintendo is changing how we think of consoles and hand-helds pretty much seals the deal and confirms Eurogamer’s leak, which described the NX as a portable console with detachable controllers that might be playable on our televisions as well.
