In order to stir up hype for the PlayStation 3 release of Diablo 3, Blizzard has revealed a new pre-order bonus for early adopters. Anyone who pre-orders will receive the Infernal Helm, a piece of equipment that gives you a flat XP bonus whenever you wear it. The helm is wearable by all of the game’s five classes, and there is no downside—other than the fact that you won’t be able to take advantage your other helms.
Additionally, certain retailers will be offering limited-edition pre-order bonuses. Unfortunately, these bonuses have not been revealed, but Blizzard has indicated that they will be announced soon.
The PS3 version of Diablo 3 is not just a port from the PC version. It will involve new controls and levels optimized for console play. The game will also feature four-player co-op, but won’t include the PC version’s real money auction house. Diablo 3 will also be coming to the PS4, which is expected to launch around Christmas.
