In a recent FAQ via Halo Waypoint, published as part of a bulletin update on Friday, October 3, it has been confirmed that weapons and maps that were previously only exclusive to the PC version of Halo: Combat Evolved will be made available in the forthcoming Halo: Master Chief Collection .
Not only that, but all of Halo: Combat Evolved game types and custom game types will be included in the Master Chief Collection , and there will also be maps from Combat Evolved that will have radar enabled or disabled (but they will be separated by different playlists).
In addition to the weapons and maps previously exclusive to the PC version of Combat Evolved , maps and weapons exclusive to the PC version of Halo 2 will also be available in both custom games and Matchmaking.
The full FAQ has been detailed below.
Franchise community manager Andy Dudynsky has revealed that Halo: The Master Chief Collection (which is touted to run at 1080p, 60 frames per second ) won’t be making its way to the Xbox 360 because the last-gen console simply won’t be able to support the bundle and what it brings in terms of visual fidelity and enhanced features.
We’ll bring you more news on Halo: The Master Chief Collection should further information reach our ears. The game is slated to release on Tuesday, November 11 this year, exclusively for Xbox One–just about exactly 10 years since the original Halo 2 initially launched.
