PS4 1.62 Update Released

Sony has issued out another firmware software update for the PlayStation 4. The update, Update 1.62, according to PS4 Daily , is a large 336Mb download that improves upon the quality of the console’s operating system.

The only information attached to the update is the following: “Operation quality during use of some PlayStation 4 software has been improved.”

It is said that this update is to do with the PlayStation 4’s system stability, as no changes to the user interface have been made.

The PlayStation 4’s last update, Update 1.61 , provided general enhancements to the console’s system stability–it was a small update that mainly fixed back end things. The update before that, Update 1.60 , made the PlayStation 4 compatible with Sony’s line of wireless headset. T he Gold Wireless Headset was revealed in conjunction with the update.

In Canada, the price PlayStation 4 console has increased by $50, taking the console from $399.99 to $449.99. Its peripherals–the PlayStation Camera and the DualShock 4 controller–have had a $5 increase in price, too.
